Right to be forgotten - What you need to know

Under new legislation, users of our services have the right to request deletion of the data that we hold about them. However, whilst we will endeavour to meet user requests for data deletion, we are still bound by our legal obligations to keep records of things like financial transactions. Further information on this can be found below.

Can I make a request to have my data deleted? Yes. All of our users can make a request for their data to be deleted. However, the data that can be deleted will be restricted by our legal obligations. If we are required to retain some of your data, it will be scheduled for deletion, once our legal obligations have been met.

Which data will be deleted?
  • TopupsWe are currently obligated by credit card providers to retain financial transaction data for the purposes of fraud prevention. This data can not be deleted. However, there is no personally identifiable data stored. Credit card transaction data is encrypted, and stored in compliance with the Data Security Standard, as set out by the Payment Card International Security Standards Council.
  • Call HistoryWe are required to keep records of phone calls and SMS messages for a period of two years. Should a request be made for deletion, call history data will be scheduled for deletion at the end of this period. Until this time, the call history will be made anonymous, and any personally identifiable data will be removed.
NOTE: The phone number used must legally be retained with the transaction data, until the end of the two year period.
  • Chat HistoryWe do not currently keep a permanent record of chat conversations. These are automatically purged daily.
  • Personal InformationAll personal identifiable information will be erased, with the exception of any phone numbers linked to Call History, as described above.

How long does it take? We have 30 days from the time we receive the request to remove your personal data. However, in most cases, erasure will be much quicker.

Is my data really erased? All personal data connected to your account will be deleted. In the cases listed above (where we are required to retain data), the retained data will be made anonymous, and no longer directly linked to you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Once your account data has been removed, your account will no longer exist. Please ensure that you no longer wish to use your account before requesting data erasure, as this can not be reversed.

What happens next? If you are certain that you wish to have your data erased, then please click the button below, and your request will be processed. In most cases, you will not need to take any further action. Occasionally, we may need to verify that you are the account holder, before we can erase your account. If this happens, then we will contact you using the data that you currently have registered on you account.
